Hope Village

Hope Village is the first of its kind in Southern Oregon. This attractive, well-designed site offers a community setting with insulated tiny house duplex units (8×10), each with access to electricity and a locking door to ensure privacy. Shared facilities include a kitchen trailer, restroom and shower trailer, laundry room, community center, park area, dog park, and a vegetable garden.

The village is safe, sanitary, gated, and supervised by on-site staff. Daily chores and weekly house inspections teach participants how to care for their tiny homes, therefore building their capacity to become self-sustaining future tenants and neighbors in the communities where they will eventually live.

Participants are required to pay a monthly program fee (half of which goes into a personal savings account for each participant when they leave Hope Village) and work with Rogue Retreat’s supportive services staff and community partners to address their individual barriers.
