Rogue Retreat and the City of Medford were selected to receive a Project Turnkey grant in the amount of $2.55 million to purchase and transform a 47-room motel in Medford, Oregon. The Redwood Inn is currently being renovated 14 rooms at a time and has apartments with kitchenettes, bathrooms, living, and sleeping quarters. Forty-three apartments are dedicated to housing those displaced by the Almeda Fire, and four studio apartments are available for those who need skilled nursing care or who are recovering from COVID-19.

Once all residents displaced by the fires find permanent housing, The Redwood Inn will operate as transitional housing for Rogue Retreat program participants who are moving toward sustainable housing of their own.
